Pastor Funmi Obilana
Pastor Funmi Obilana was born in Nigeria. She completed her High school education at St Annes’s School, (the 1st Female High School in Nigeria). Pastor Obilana studied Law at the University of Lagos, Nigeria and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1982. She is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS) London, England and holds an LL.M in Corporate Law and Finance from the Widener University School of Law. She was admitted to the New York Bar in February, 1997.
Pastor Obilana has wide and varied experience in business, social work and law. She retired from the Civil Service of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in November 2006 after serving as an Administrative Law Judge with the Department of Public Welfare and the Unemployment Compensation Agency of the Department of Labor and Industry. Pastor Obilana now works full time in the ministry devoting her time and energy to the work of the gospel of Jesus.
She joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God in May 1987, and was ordained a Pastor in June 1999. She enjoys church planting and has planted churches in the states of Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Kentucky and West Virginia. The Church is growing strong and is committed to transforming this generation through the gospel of Christ, empowering and equipping people for excellence, and helping them accomplish their God given destiny.
She has been married to Tope Obilana for over 25 years, they have two sons; Dipo an Architect and Olamide a Funds Investment associate.
